For many years people just used Atlanta as a holdover on their way
to Florida, but that's not the case anymore. Atlanta now can make a
case for being one destination travelers will want to consider for
their next vacation.

Hotels are one of, if not the most important thing that vacationers
look for when they want to take a trip. Atlanta definitely has some of
the best hotels around. Let's take a look at some of the more popular
hotels that will make your stay in Atlanta one to remember.
Intercontinental Hotels Group which is also based in Atlanta is one of
the major players in the Hotel industry in Georgia. This hotel has
over 300 rooms and 24 suites, but the one thing I love about this
hotel is twice daily housekeeping. This is one service everyone should
have. It also boasts a fitness center, spa and outside swimming pool,
plus a 24 hour business center. It has everything you will ever need
on your vacation and more.
My personal favorite of all the hotels are the Ritz Carlton Hotels
which Atlanta has two of them. If your budget is the sky then these
two hotels is where you need to stay. With a ton of amenities they
will pamper you and your stay will be unforgettable. Some of the
features I love is 24 hour secretarial services, high speed Internet

Things To Do In Atlanta
Now don't think Atlanta has nothing to do, because there is so much to
do. It would take you a whole year to do everything. Let's highlight
some of my favorites. If your in Atlanta especially in the fall and
winter you will want to catch Michael Vick and the Atlanta Falcons
battling for an NFC championship. The Georgia Dome is a great place to
watch a game and they even have activities for the kids before the
game. The kids can get players autographs, do pass punt and catch
drills etc. They even have live bands for the grown ups while the kids
are playing.
Food abounds everywhere and almost any kind of food your looking for
can be found there. If your not real busy stop by CNN center and see
what Atlanta's native son Ted Turner has built. The food court in the
CNN center has almost any kind of food there is including my favorite
sports bar Jock and Jill's
Many museums dot the cities landscape and there is something in them
for young and old. You can visit the Margaret Mitchell house and
museum that's a popular place. The world of Coke-a-cola down in
five points is a great tour that the kids will love.
Shopping In Atlanta
Atlanta has some of the best stores in Underground Atlanta. That's
right the stores are underground and the only way I can explain it is
you have to see it for yourself. After a tough day of window shopping
stop by Johnny Rockets for a cheeseburger and shake.
As you can see Atlanta has everything you could want from a
vacation. Some people just love walking down Peachtree Street seeing
all the sites. No matter what Atlanta will show you a great time.
