It stands over 555 feet tall and is the tallest structure in Washington D.C. At the base of the Washington Monument is the fifty flags which represent the 50 states that make of the United States.

If you take the elevator to the top of the Washington Monument you will also be able to see the Lincoln Memorial and the White House among others.
